Our Story: Family-owned and operated, Ground Control has been under the ownership of Jason and Kim Armstrong since 2015, delivering professional lawn, garden and landscaping services across the Shoalhaven. Jason and Kim brought a background in running service businesses and a commitment to doing the work properly.
You may know us as Kimberlie & Co Ground Control, the name displayed on our vehicles. Today, we’re building our identity as Ground Control Lawn, Garden & Landscaping. We’re the same local, family-owned business, proudly operated by Jason and Kim Armstrong since 2015.
Our Roots: Since taking ownership in 2015, Jason and Kim have carried forward Ground Control’s community-minded foundations, offering a flexible, supportive workplace while caring for outdoor spaces for families and businesses.
Who We Are: Based in Nowra, we look after homes, businesses, strata and community properties from Kiama south to Sussex Inlet and west to Kangaroo Valley, from regular lawn and garden care to landscaping and retaining walls.

Dan Carr
Ground Control Manager
With experience across lawn and garden maintenance, landscaping, irrigation and property management, Dan Carr brings extensive practical knowledge and leadership experience to Ground Control. As Ground Control Manager, Dan carries out site visits, assesses each job and prepares quotes.
A former Bombardier in the military, Dan developed a strong foundation in discipline, leadership, teamwork and mateship. These are values he continues to bring to Ground Control every day.
Beyond his military service, Dan has managed large rural properties of approximately 1,000 acres, driven road trains and operated his own mechanical business. His diverse background has made him a resourceful, hands-on problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging projects.
Dan is also deeply committed to building a positive workplace culture. He believes in supporting his team, developing people’s skills and creating an environment where everyone takes pride in their work.
He brings the same sense of teamwork, responsibility and mateship from his military career into Ground Control, helping build a team that looks after one another and delivers quality results for our customers.
